Characters and conversations

Give each group-chat turn a speaker

A shared scene works better when the next question has an intended recipient. Keep track of who is present, where they are and what each character knows.

Updated

Address the participant you want

Select a character portrait before sending, or type @ and choose a participant. Ask that speaker a specific question rather than asking the whole cast to explain several things at once.

Let the answer finish before changing speakers. One character can check a document while another describes the room, but each turn should make that responsibility clear.

Supply shared facts before the question

The adult museum staff are in the loading room. Mara has the inventory, Ellis is holding the unopened parcel, and I have the key to the gallery. Mara, which delivery is missing from the list?

This names the cast, assigns objects and identifies the next response. When everyone moves to another room, add that change before asking a question about the new location.

Keep individual roles different

Give each participant a reason to be in the scene. Identical instructions can produce repetitive replies or let one speaker act for everyone else. State who should make a decision and leave your own character's actions open.

Group conversation, a standalone profile and a media-pack unlock are separate experiences with their own controls. Use scene prompts for writing changes and reply checks if a request fails to complete.

Questions and answers

How do I select one speaker in a group chat?

Choose the character's portrait before sending, or use @ and select the intended participant. Then direct the question to that character.

What helps a group keep track of the scene?

State the current location, participants and important objects, then ask one speaker a specific question. Update shared facts when the group moves or an object changes hands.

Is a group conversation the same as a community pack?

No. A group chat is a conversation involving fictional characters. A community pack is an existing collection of media with separate access conditions.
