Make the exchange easy to continue
Stay with the situation in the opening message. If you want a new scene, introduce it clearly rather than changing the location and relationship without explanation. Ask for brief dialogue, more description or a single question when that suits the conversation.
The bookshop lights flicker as the rain starts. I place a wrapped parcel on the counter. Ask who sent it, but leave my character's answer and actions to me.
Use a short recap when returning to a story after a break. Pinned details and reply instructions have different jobs.
Separate speech from an action
Put an action between asterisks, for example *I move the parcel away from the rain.*. Action text can appear in yellow. Follow it with spoken dialogue if you want both in the same turn.
A generated reply is part of the fiction. It cannot check your real transaction, cancel a subscription or provide an authoritative account-policy decision. Use account controls and support for those requests.
Review the selected model
Our model labels identify chat options, not a published specification of every underlying language model. A label does not establish a provider, parameter count or guaranteed memory window.
Inspect the charge before switching. Genius and Lively Genius replies are listed at 1 coin, including for subscribers. Standard subscriber text access does not cover every premium option without a charge. The coin table separates these actions.
If the next response does not arrive
Let a pending reply finish before sending several more messages. Check the connection, balance and any notice on the request. Try another profile to see whether the issue affects one conversation or several.
Keep the character name, error wording and approximate time. Follow the reply-error checks before resetting a conversation whose history you want to keep.
